I dearly apologize to my readers for being absent for so long. As my Computer Woes post stated, my old XPS M1710 (Roadkill) had a faulty nVidia video card that finally died after just under a year of use. Apparently I was lucky it lasted that long. My husband Quu spent weeks dealing with Dell tech support and finally wrangled them into sending me a new laptop, a shiny refurbished XPS M1730 (now dubbed Cadaver) which I sadly think might have the same nVidia card troubles eventually. However, it’s still a vast upgrade even though I’ve gone back down to Windows XP from my old Vista. Yes, I’m one of the few people who actually really liked Vista despite it’s huge memory consumption. Adding 4 GB of ram made it quite useable. But, that’s another story.
What is even worse is that during the process of moving my data from Roadkill to Cadaver my external hard drive suddenly started giving a master table corruption error. About the only things I had transferred off of it was World of Warcraft and my Steam account. Fortunately we think we have a way to salvage the information off of it soon.
In the mean time I am going to try to get more iPhone App reviews posted. Next one will be for Twinkle, a Twitter App for the iPhone.
